Rally in the Valley – August 19-23, 2015


The Rally in the Valley Committee will be held Wednesday, August 19 through Sunday, August 23.  The Rally Warm Up Event is Wednesday, August 19 at the Cutco/Ka-Bar Parking Lot.  Music, food, raffle prizes are all a part of this two hour event to kickstart the event from 5 – 7 PM. Thursday, August 20th will be Community Bank’s Banking on a Good Time Street Dance held on Laurens Street from North Union Street to North First Street from 7 – 10 PM.  Activities include line dancing, games, the Rally Harley Davidson Raffle, and music by THE HOOTZ.  Food will be provided by Sparky’s Pizza with Certo Brothers beverages. Olean Area Federal Credit Union’s KICKSTART to RALLY and TOUGH ENOUGH TO WEAR PINK FRIDAY will be Friday, August 21.  The Rally will kick start the weekend with a MOTORCYCLE PARADE from the Olean Area Federal Credit Union to North 12th to West State to the stadium at new start time of 5:30 PM.  The Rally encourages all to WEAR PINK to the rally in honor of breast cancer survivors and loved ones.  PINK rally shirts will be for sale to those tough enough to wear pink! The Rally will feature four parachutists from Free Fall Oz who will ‘drop’ into the stadium around 7:00 PM and be a part of the jump by taking a chance on their DROP IN ON THE PLATE Contest.  Also, a fireworks show presented by Mike’s Hard Lemonade will happen once it gets dark enough.  A free concert will feature The Barry Brothers. Certo Brothers SATURDAY FUN & GAMES will be Saturday, August 22.  The stadium will turn into a street festival with a variety of activities, including bike contests, bands, foods, and vendors.  The event runs 11 AM - 10 PM.  Come join us as a spectator or even better - a participant.  Test your motorcycling skills and balance at the Biker Rodeo.  Compete for a chance to win cash prizes. BIKES will be judged on Saturday.  Enter your rides in the annual bike show.  Show them off, let everyone enjoy them.  Then let the public makes the tough decisions of who has the best bikes at this year’s rally.  We’ll be proudly presenting awards in 9 different categories. The Rally will also present the seventh annual BYOBW-- Bring your own Big Wheel Adult Race and a corn hole tourney and the water pong classic will be held Saturday. Caricatures by Eric Jones will be down 1-3 PM drawing up some cartoon drawings of folks.  The musical entertainment on Saturday includes FREDDIE N’ THE JETS from 12 – 3 PM, FAT BRAT from 3:30 – 6:30 PM, and STEEL REIGN from 7 – 10 PM. HAPPY 40th ANNIVERSARY to the STREET MASTERS CAR SHOW.  The Street Masters will host the show on Saturday only in War Veterans Park.  The events will be connected via the tunnel under East State Street!  Hotrods, Ratrods, Kustoms, Classics, Muscle, Original, Burnfinds, Gassers, Drag Cars, Bikes, Whatever come down and be a part of the show.  Join the Original Street Masters Car Club in partnership with WNY Largest Motorcycle Event!  Car registration begins 9 AM with dash plaques to the first 100 cars. Sunday, August 23 is Olean General Hospital DICE RUN DAY.  Activities will start off with the dice run through Western New York at 11 AM.  The Dice Run will have $2,000 in Cash Prizes.
